पंचकूला। विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन ने चेताया है कि बदल रही जीवन शैली और खान-पान की आदतों के कारण आने वाले दस वर्षों में दांतों से संबंधित बिमारियों में भारी वृद्धि होगी। जिसमें मुंह का कैंसर सबसे अहम होगा। यह जानकारी चंडीगढ़ के सेक्टर-32 स्थित मेडिकल कालेज के डॉ. साइकैट चक्रवर्ती ने दी। वे प्रयोग फाउंडेशन द्वारा रोटरी क्लब ऑफ पंचकूला के सहयोग से आयोजित प्रोजेक्ट दंत रक्षक के तहत पंचकूला जिले के गांव ढंढारडू में दंत जांच शिविर में बोल रहे थे।ग्रामीणों को संबोधित करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि मुंह के कैंसर का मुख्य कारण तंबाकू तथा बीड़ी का सेवन है। शिविर के दौरान 120 लोगों की जांच की गई। आश्चर्यजनक बात यह रही कि शिविर में एक व्यक्ति को तंबाकू व बीड़ी के कारण कैंसर की दूसरी स्टेज के बारे में पता चला। चार व्यक्तियों के कैंसर के मामूली लक्ष्णों की पहली स्टेज के बारे में पता चला। शिविर के दौरान डॉक्टरों तथा प्रयोग फाउंडेशन की टीम द्वारा काउंसलिंग करने पर उक्त पांच व्यक्तियों के अलावा एक दर्जन के करीब अधेड़ उम्र व्यक्तियों ने बीड़ी व तंबाकू छोडऩे का प्रण लिया। हरियाणा कांग्रेस ओबीसी विभाग के स्टेट मीडिया कॉर्डिनेटर अभिषेक सैनी के प्रयासों से आयोजित इस शिविर में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि पहुंचे हरियाणा प्रदेश कांगे्रस कमेटी के प्रवक्ता संजीव भारद्वाज तथा गांव के सरपंच रवि शर्मा ने वालंटियरों व चिकित्सकों को सम्मानित किया। प्रयोग फाउंडेशन के अध्यक्ष संजीव शर्मा ने बताया कि हरियाणा के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में इस तरह के शिविर लगाए जा रहे हैं। रोटरी क्लब ऑफ पंचकूला के अध्यक्ष रोटेरियन मुकेश अग्रवाल तथा सचिव मनमोहन सेठ ने कहा कि प्रयोग फाउंडेशन के इस प्रोजेक्ट में हर संभव सहयोग किया जाएगा।
