महेंद्रगढ़ : आखिर कार महेंद्रगढ़ नगरपालिका के उपप्रधान पद के लिये भाजपा के कद्दावर नेता पूर्व शिक्षा मंत्री रामबिलास शर्मा ने सभी निर्वाचित पार्षदों की सहमति बनाकर वार्ड नं 5 की पार्षद समाजसेवीका मंजू कौशिक को पालिका की निर्विरोध उपप्रधान बनाकर साबित कर दिया कि आज भी महेंद्रगढ़ में सर्वसमाज एकता का प्रतीक है।महेंद्रगढ़ नगरपालिका के प्रधान व पार्षदों के चुनाव के बाद उपप्रधान चुनने के लिये दो मीटिंग का आयोजन हो चुका था। जिसमे पहली मीटिंग में एसडीएम अस्वस्थ होने के कारण व दूसरी में पार्षद नही पहुंचने के कारण स्थगित की गई थी। बता दे कि इसी तरह नगरपरिषद नारनौल व नगरपालिका नांगल चौधरी में भी उप प्रधान के चुनाव के लिए दो बार मीटिंग स्थगित करने के उपरांत ही नारनौल नगरपरिषद में काफी खींचतान के बावजूद सहमति न बनने के चलते चुनाव प्रक्रिया को अमल में लाया गया था। महेंद्रगढ़ पालिका के 15 वार्डो से 7 महिला पार्षद चुनकर आई। सभी पार्षदों ने भाई चारे का संदेश देते हुए अनुभवी मंजू कौशिक के नाम पर अपनी सहमति जताई। जिसके चलते गुरुवार को चुनाव अधिकारी एसडीएम वकील अहमद की मौजुदगी में सभी पार्षदों ने मंजू कौशिक का नामांकन करवाकर उन्हें पालिका की निर्विरोध उपप्रधान बनाने में अपनी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। चुनाव प्रक्रिया को अमल में लाते हुए मंजू कौशिक ने अपना नामांकन चुनाव अधिकारी के समक्ष प्रस्तुत किया जिसका अनुमोदन वार्ड नं4 की पार्षद ममता सोनी व वार्ड नं 1 की पार्षद सरिता राठी ने किया। इस अवसर पर लगभग सभी निर्वाचित पार्षद मौजूद थे। चुनाव प्रक्रिया विधिवत सम्पन्न होते ही सभी पार्षदों ने एक दूजे को मिठाई खिलाकर बधाई दी। जिसके उपरांत सभी पार्षद एकत्रित होकर नवनिर्वाचित उपप्रधान मंजू कौशिक के साथ पूर्व शिक्षा मंत्री रामबिलास शर्मा के निवास स्थान पर उनसे आशीर्वाद लेने पहुचे।उन्होंने कहाकि पालिका की नई टीम नगर के विकास के लिये एक जुट होकर कार्य करेगी। सरकार की और से महेंद्रगढ़ पालिका के विकास के लिये हर सम्भव सहयोग देने के लिये प्रयास किये जायेंगे।
