गुरुग्राम के किसानों को लेकर नवीन गोयल ने कहा है कि यहां पर पहले से जमीनें किसानों के पास बहुत कम बची हैं। उसमें से भी हजारों एकड़ कृषि भूिम में लगातार जलभराव रहता है। यह किसानों की बड़ी समस्या है। उन्होंने बताया कि आजादी के कुछ ही वर्ष बाद नजफगढ़ ड्रेन का निर्माण किया गया था, ताकि शहर का पानी ड्रेन से होते हुए यमुना में जाए। ड्रेन के साथ-साथ दिल्ली इलाके में बांध का निर्माण कर दिया गया, लेकिन गुरुग्राम इलाके में बांध बनाने के ऊपर ध्यान नहीं दिया गया। इसका खामियाजा वर्षों से गुरुग्राम इलाके के गांवों मांकड़ौला, बुढेड़ा, चंदू, धनकोट, खेड़की, दौलताबाद, मोहम्मद हेड़ी, बसई एवं धर्मपुर के किसान भुगत रहे हैं। इन गांवों की लगभग 5600 एकड़ भूमि जलमग्न है। ड्रेन ओवरफ्लो होने से प्रभावित किसान पिछले लगभग 20 साल से सही से खेती नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। धीरे-धीरे पानी 5600 एकड़ में फैल चुका है। लोगों को उससे छुटकारा दिलाने के लिए किए जाने वाले प्रबंधों का भी उपायुक्त ने निरीक्षण किया हुआ, लेकिन अभी तक कोई कार्यवाही नहीं की गई है। नवीन गोयल ने मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल से अनुरोध है कि जल्द से जल्द किसानों को इस समस्या से निजात दिलाने की कृपा करें। गुरुग्राम की सीमा में जलमग्न हजारों एकड़ भूमि को फिर से खेती योग्य बनाने की दिशा में काम करें।
