गुरुग्राम, गुरूग्राम जिला के 3 गांवों नामतः दमदमा, खेड़ला और अभयपुर में लगभग 420 ऐकड़ में जैव विविधता पार्क का निर्माण होगा और लगभग 80 ऐकड़ में दमदमा झील का पुनः निर्माण किया जाएगा। लगभग 500 ऐकड़ की इस वृह्द परियोजना की शुरूआत हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल और केंद्रीय मंत्री राव इंद्रजीत सिंह ने की। यह परियोजना गुरूजल, हरियाणा सीएसआर ट्रस्ट तथा ई वाई फाउंडेशन द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से विकसित की जाएगी। इसके लिए मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल तथा केंद्रीय मंत्री राव इंद्रजीत सिंह की उपस्थिति में उपायुक्त श्री निशांत कुमार यादव, जो गुरूजल के चेयरमैन हैं और हरियाणा राज्य सीएसआर ट्रस्ट के संयुक्त सचिव भी हैं, ने ई वाई फाउंडेशन के साथ एक त्रिपक्षीय समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। ई वाई फाउंडेशन की तरफ से संस्था के अध्यक्ष बाला चंद्र राजा रमन ने समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। इसके बाद उपायुक्त यादव तथा राजा रमन ने दस्तावेजों का आदान-प्रदान किया।

कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल ने कहा कि सरकार इस क्षेत्र को पर्यटकों के लिए आकर्षण का केंद्र बनाने के लिए पर्यत्नशील है। इस साल मंे वे दूसरी बार गांव दमदमा आए हैं। पहले दमदमा मेें एडवैन्चर स्पोर्ट्स का उद्घाटन करने आए थे। अब पर्यावरण और जल संरक्षण के अलावा जैव विविधता की परियोजना का शुभारंभ करने आए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि जैव विविधता के नाते हमारे साथ रहने वाले जीव जंतुओं की चिंता करनी जरूरी है क्योंकि यह पृथ्वी और प्रकृति केवल मनुष्य के लिए ही नहीं अपितु सभी जीव जंतुओं के लिए है। जीव जंतुओं की चिंता नहीं की तो मनुष्य इन्हें खो देगा, जिससे पर्यावरण में असंतुलन आ जाएगा।

उन्होंने बताया कि जैव विविधता पार्क और झील के विकास के अलावा, गुरूग्राम तथा नूंह जिलों में अरावली की पहाड़ियों में लगभग 10 हजार ऐकड़ में जंगल सफारी बनाने का कार्य भी प्रस्तावित है। इससे भी पर्यटन को बढावा मिलेगा और लोगों को रोजगार के अवसर उपलब्ध होंगे।

इससे पहले विशिष्ट अतिथि के तौर पर उपस्थित कंेद्रीय मंत्री राव इंद्रजीत सिंह ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देशभर में पानी बचाने का अभियान शुरू किया जिसे हरियाणा में मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर लाल ने आगे बढ़ाया है। उन्होंने स्मरण करवाया कि कभी दमदमा झील तथा बड़खल झील बड़ी हुआ करती थी और बच्चे उसमें नहाया करते थे। उसके बाद शहरीकरण इस प्रकार से बढ़ा कि बड़खल झील तो खत्म हो गई और दमदमा झील खत्म होने को है। उन्होंने कहा कि दमदमा व आसपास के गांवों के लोगों ने अपनी जमीन बेच दी जहां पर बडे़-बड़े फार्म हाउस बन गए। उन्होंने ग्रामीणों से सीधा संवाद करते हुए कहा कि जमीन बेचकर आप लोग मालामाल तो हो गए परंतु उस पैसे का उपयोग बच्चों व परिजनों की पढाई पर करना क्योंकि भविष्य में पढाई के बिना कुछ हासिल नहीं होगा। इस अवसर पर सोहना के विधायक संजय सिंह , अनिल राव, मधु आजाद, , बालाचंद्र राजा रमन, मण्डल वन अधिकारी राजीव तेजयान, जिला विकास एवं पंचायत अधिकारी नरेंद्र सारवान, गुरूजल की प्रोग्राम डायरेक्टर सुभि केसरवानी, हरियाणा सीएसआर ट्रस्ट के एडीशनल सीईओ गौरव सिंह, गांव दमदमा की सरपंच रजनी, गांव अभयपुर के सरपंच स्वामी राम सहित गांव दमदमा व आसपास के गांवों से काफी संख्या में ग्रामीण उपस्थित थे।
