गुरुग्राम। जिला में आमजन को आगजनी जैसी घटनाओं की रोकथाम व उससे बचाव के प्रति जागरूक करने के लिए 14 अप्रैल से शुरू हुए अग्निशमन सेवा सुरक्षा सप्ताह का आज समापन किया गया। आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव के तहत आयोजित इस सुरक्षा सप्ताह के समापन पर सेक्टर 29 स्थित अग्निशमक कार्यालय से प्रातः 10 बजे शहर के प्रमुख मार्गों से अग्निशमन वाहनों द्वारा एक रोड़ शो का भी आयोजन किया गया।कार्यक्रम में डीसी निशांत कुमार यादव ने रोड़ शो को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करने से पूर्व फायरकर्मियों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि गुरुग्राम एक बढ़ता हुआ शहर है। ऐसे में दमकल कर्मियों के कंधों पर एक बड़ी जिम्मेदारी है जिसका वे बखूबी निर्वहन कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने अग्निशमन विभाग द्वारा 14 से 20 अप्रैल तक आयोजित किए गए जागरूकता कार्यक्रम के संदर्भ में कहा कि एक जिम्मेदार नागरिक की जागरूकता से किसी भी अप्रिय घटना को टाला जा सकता है। डीसी ने कहा कि 80 प्रतिशत अग्निकांड अग्नि सुरक्षा उपायों की जानकारी के अभाव एवं लापरवाही के कारण होते हैं। ऐसे में अग्निशमन विभाग द्वारा मनाया जाने वाला यह सेवा सुरक्षा सप्ताह आमजन में जागरूकता लाने में काफी महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यदि हमें आगजनी जैसी घटना से बचाव व उसके रोकथाम के उपाय पता हो तो हम स्वयं के साथ साथ अन्य लोगों के जानमाल की सुरक्षा भी कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने ने बताया कि 14 अप्रैल 1944 में मुंबई बंदरगाह में फोर्टस्टीकेन नामक मालवाहक जहाज जिसमें रुई की गांठे, विस्फोटक एवं युद्ध उपकरण भरे हुए थे, में अकस्मात आग लग गई थी। आग को बुझाते समय जहाज में विस्फोटक सामग्री होने के कारण 66 अग्निशमन कर्मी आग की चपेट में आकर वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए थे। इन बहादुर अग्निशमन कर्मियों की स्मृति में प्रत्येक वर्ष 14 अप्रैल को अग्निशमन दिवस मनाया जाता है। इसके साथ ही अगले एक सप्ताह तक जिला के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में जाकर आमजन को जागरूक भी किया जाता है। इस अवसर पर फायर सेफ्टी ऑफिसर राजबीर सिंह, नरेंद्र सिंह, ललित कुमार व रमेश कुमार सहित विभिन्न संस्थानों द्वारा उनके फायर टेंडर एवं टीम, सिविल डिफेंस की टीम एवं आपदा मित्र की टीमें उपस्थित थी।
