तावडू, उपमंडल के गांव खोरी कलां के माडर्न हिन्द सीनियर सैकंडरी स्कूल में हिन्दु-मुसलमान समुदाय का सबसे पवित्र त्योहार ईद मनाया गया। इस दौरान विद्यार्थियों ने मनमोहक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किए। इस अवसर पर विद्यालय प्रबंधक सहजाद खान ने सभी विद्यार्थियों व अध्यापकगणों को ईद की बधाई दी। वहीं विद्यालय की प्रिंसिपल सवीता भारद्वाज ने बच्चों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि ईद के त्योहार पर बडी संख्या मे मुस्लिम अनुयायी सुबह जल्दी उठकर ईदगाह मे इबादत कर ईद मनाते हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि ईदुलफितर का त्यौहार समाज में भाईचारा को बढ़ावा देता है। उन्होंने कहा की दुनिया का हर मुस्लमान चांद देखकर रोजा शुरू करते हैं और चांद देखकर ही ईद मनाते हैं। उल्लेखनीय है कि ईद की नमाज पढने से पहले हर मुस्लिम समुदाय के घर में छोटे-बडे व बुजुर्ग सभी साफ सुथरे व नये कपडे पहनते हैं। ईद की नमाज पढने से पहले फितरा देना फर्ज है। फितरा गरीबों को दिया जाता है। ताकि वह भी अपनी ईद खुशी से मना सके। ईद के पर्व पर मीठी सेवईयां व खीर बनाई गई। इस अवसर पर रूकसाना, गोरी मैडम, अनुप सिंह, साजिद खान, श्यामवीर, नीलम रानी, सुषमा आदि मौजूद रहे।
