पंचकूला : हरियाणा विधानसभा अध्यक्ष ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता ने कहा कि उन्होंने पंचकूला को एक आदर्श शहर बनाने की कल्पना की है और इसके लिये उन्होंने सात सरोकार दिये है। उन्होंने युवाओं से आह्वान करते हुये कहा कि वे पंचकूला को स्वच्छ और सुंदर बनाने में अपना योगदान दें, नशे से दूर रहे और ट्रैफिक नियमों का पालन करें। गुप्ता आज सेक्टर-5 स्थित इंद्रधनुष आॅडिटोरियम में जिला प्रशासन की ओर से आजादी के अमृत महोत्सव और सेवा पखवाड़ा के तहत स्वच्छता,नशा मुक्ति एवं यातायात नियंत्रण पर आयोजित जागरूकता कार्यक्रम में मुख्यातिथि के रूप में संबोधित कर रहे थे। उन्होंने कहा कि युवाओं का देश व समाज के नवनिर्माण में अहम योगदान होता है इस अवसर पर भारतीय थल सेवा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष जनरल वीपी मलिक, पुलिस आयुक्त डाॅ हनीफ कुरैशी, उपायुक्त श्री महावीर कौशिक और पुलिस उपायुक्त श्री सुरेंद्र पाल सिंह और नगर निगम महापौर कुलभूषण गोयल भी उपस्थित थे।इससे पूर्व श्री ज्ञानचंद गुप्ता और श्री वीपी मलिक ने इंद्रधनुष आॅडिटोरियम में स्कूली छात्रों द्वारा स्वच्छता, नशा मुक्ति एवं यातायात नियंत्रण पर आधारित फोटो प्रर्दशनी तथा रंगोली और स्वास्थ्य विभाग द्वारा बच्चों की काउंसलिंग के लिये लगाये स्पेशल डेस्क का अवलोकन किया। इसके अलावा उन्होंने नशा मुक्ति प्रतिज्ञा पट्टिका पर हस्ताक्षर भी किये। कार्यक्रम का सीधा प्रसारण यूट्यूब के माध्यम से जिला के 425 स्कूलों में लगभग 28 हजार विद्याार्थियों द्वारा देखा गया। गुप्ता ने कहा कि इस कार्यक्रम का मुख्य उद्देश्य युवाओं व बच्चों को स्वच्छता, नशा मुक्ति एवं यातायात नियंत्रण जैसे अह्म सामाजिक विषयों के बारे में जागरूक करना हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि आज युवा तेजी से नशे की चपेट में आ रहा हैं। एक सर्वें के अनुसार 14 से 18 वर्ष की आयु के 35 प्रतिशत बच्चें नशे की चपेट में आ चुके हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि पड़ोसी देशों द्वारा एक सोची समझी साजिश के तहत देश की युवा पीढ़ी के भविष्य के साथ खिलवाड़ किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षकों से अपील की कि वे ध्यान दें कि उनके आस पास कहीं नशा तो पनप नहीं रहा। उन्होंने अभिभावकों से भी आग्रह किया कि वे अपने बच्चों को नशे से दूर रखने के लिये उन्हें पर्याप्त समय दें और उन पर ध्यान दें।
