गुरुग्राम, दक्षिण हरियाणा बिजली वितरण निगम के प्रबंध निदेशक पीसी मीणा ने बताया कि गत 5 वर्षों में 706.82 करोड़ रुपए की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी गई है। बिजली चोरी कर रहे उपभोक्ताओं द्वारा जुर्माने के 378.33 करोड़ रुपए जमा किए जा चुके है। इस अभियान से बिजली निगम के टेक्निकल एवं डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन लॉस कम करने में सहायता मिली है। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्तमान चल रहे वित्त वर्ष 2022-23 में गत माह तक 51.21 करोड़ रुपए की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी गई है और 31.22 करोड़ रुपए का जुर्माना वसूला जा चुका है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त जांच टीम द्वारा 61649 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया गया है जिसमें से 13242 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 12841 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि गत वर्ष 2021-22 में 156.65 करोड़ रुपए की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी गई और 78.70 करोड़ रुपए का जुर्माना वसूला गया है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा 181078 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया गया जिसमें से 45470 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 42501 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। विगत वर्ष 2020-21 में 163.66 करोड़ की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी जा चुकी है और 85.83 करोड़ का जुर्माना वसूला गया है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा 146645 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया गया जिसमें से 48791 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 43716 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ष 2019-20 में 82.29 करोड़ की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी जा चुकी है और 54.04 करोड़ का जुर्माना वसूला गया है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा 99458 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया जा चुका है जिसमें से 26369 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 20267 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि वर्ष 2018 -19 में 86.24 करोड़ की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी जा चुकी है और 45.11 करोड़ का जुर्माना वसूला गया है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा 72690 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया जा चुका है जिसमें से 19868 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 15498 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। वर्ष 2017-18 में 166.74 करोड़ की बिजली चोरी पकड़ी जा चुकी है और 86.40 करोड़ का जुर्माना वसूला गया है। इस वर्ष बिजली निगम की संयुक्त टीम द्वारा 118900 उपभोक्ताओं के मीटर को चेक किया जा चुका है जिसमें से 56127 बिजली उपभोक्ता चोरी करते हुए पकड़े गए। इनके खिलाफ 40412 एफआईआर दर्ज करवाई गई हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि बिजली चोरी का बकाया जुर्माना जिन्होंने अभी तक जमा नहीं किया है उन उपभोक्ताओं पर पुलिस एवं कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। रिकवरी के लिए बिजली निगम द्वारा एफआईआर दर्ज कराई गई हैं। बिजली चोरी करना कानूनन अपराध है। बिजली चोरी पर जुर्माना और सजा का प्रावधान है।
