कुरुक्षेत्र मुख्यमंत्री के अतिरिक्त प्रधान सचिव एवं सूचना, जनसंपर्क, भाषा एवं संस्कृति विभाग के महानिदेशक डा. अमित अग्रवाल ने जीटी रोड पर बनने जा रहे विरासत हेरीटेज विलेज का अवलोकन किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने हरियाणा की पुरानी सांस्कृतिक विषय वस्तुओं का अवलोकन किया तथा साथ ही विरासत की भावी योजनाओं के विषय में विस्तार से जानकारी हासिल की।महानिदेशक डा. अमित अग्रवाल ने कहा की आने वाले दिनों में विरासत हेरिटेज विलेज हरियाणा नहीं अपितु उत्तर भारत के लिए एक ऐसा सांस्कृतिक गांव बनेगा जिसके माध्यम से हरियाणा तथा उत्तर भारत की लोक सांस्कृतिक विरासत को पर्यटकों से जोडऩे का अवसर मिलेगा। विरासत के साथ आने वाले दिनों में पर्यटक अधिक से अधिक जुड़ेंगे क्योंकि विरासत का सबसे बड़ा फायदा यह है कि यह जीटी रोड पर स्थापित है। इस 8 एकड़ भूमि पर बनने जा रहे विरासत हेरीटेज विलेज में हरियाणा की लोक संस्कृति की विरासत को पर्यटन से जोडक़र प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।
विरासत के प्रभारी डॉ महासिंह पूनिया ने मुख्यमंत्री के अतिरिक्त प्रधान सचिव डा. अमित अग्रवाल को विरासत की ओर से स्मृति चिन्ह भेंट कर उनका हार्दिक अभिनंदन एवं स्वागत किया। उन्होंने अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव को विरासत की भावी योजना के विषय में विस्तार से जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि यह हरियाणा का पहला ऐसा हस्तशिल्प गांव होगा जिसमें हरियाणा के साथ-साथ उत्तर भारत की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को दर्शाया जाएगा।
