राज्यपाल बंडारू दत्तात्रेय ने अपने संबोधन में वाणी एवं श्रवण नि:शक्तजन कल्याण केंद्र में शिक्षा ग्रहण करने वाले विद्यार्थियों को प्रेरित करते हुए कहा कि शिक्षा के साथ-साथ कौशल विकास पर भी विशेष ध्यान देना होगा, ताकि आने वाले समय में सभी बच्चे अपने सम्मानजनक तरीके से अपना लक्ष्य हासिल कर सके। उन्होंने कहा कि कौशल विकास के माध्यम से शिक्षा, खेल, प्रौद्योगिकी आदि क्षेत्रों में आगे बढऩे के अनेक अवसर मिलेंगे। जिससे आप रोजगार के अवसरों का सृजन करने में सक्षम बनेंगे और अन्य लोगों को भी रोजगार उपलब्ध करा सकेंगे। राज्यपाल ने कहा कि राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति-2020 में स्थानीय भाषा के साथ-साथ सांकेतिक भाषा को सीखने-सीखाने पर बल दिया गया है। अब भारतीय सांकेतिक भाषा सिर्फ बधिर जनों की भाषा न होकर आमजन की भाषा भी होगी। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने लाखों बधिर छात्रों के लिए नई उम्मीद जगाई है। उन्होंने भारतीय सांकेतिक भाषा (आईएसएल) को एक भाषा विषय के रूप में मान्यता देकर बधिर लोगों के लिए प्रगति का मार्ग प्रशस्त किया है।डीसी निशांत कुमार यादव ने राज्यपाल का स्वागत करते हुए कहा कि बीते 52 वर्षों से यह संस्थान वाणी एवं श्रवण नि:शक्तजनों के कल्याण के लिए कार्य कर रहा है। इस संस्थान से निकले विद्यार्थी देश भर में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में सफल प्रदर्शन कर रहे हैं।
