गुरुग्राम, गुरुग्राम के सैक्टर 29 स्थित लेजरवैली ग्राउण्ड में राष्ट्रीय सरस मेले का आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जिसमें देश के विभिन्न प्रदेशों की संस्कृति से संबंधित खान-पान, पहनावा, वस्तुओं आदि की स्टॉल लगी हुई हैं। शहर के लोग वहां पहुंचकर जमकर खरीददारी करने में जुटे हैं। शुरुआती 3 दिनों तक बारिश के कारण मेले में मंदी रही, लेकिन जैसे ही बारिश का दौर खत्म हुआ तो शहरवासी मेले का लुत्फ लेने पहुंचे। अपनी मनपसंद की वस्तुओं की खरीददारी करने के साथ-साथ व्यंजनों का भी आनंद उठाया। राजस्थान का दाल बाटी चूरमा, हरियाणा का कढ़ी चावल छत्तीसगढ़ की खुर्मी, तेलंगाना की हैदराबादी दम बिरयानी, उड़ीसा का मुगलई चिकन, बंगाल का गोलभरी मटन, बिहार का लिट्टी चोखा व सत्तू पूरी, सिक्किम की सेल रोटी व आलू दम, महाराष्ट्र का वडापाव, उत्तराखंड की खीर, उत्तर प्रदेश का गलौटी कबाब, अरुणाचल प्रदेश का स्टीम बंबू चिकन, आसाम के मशरूम मोमोज, पंजाब का सरसों का साग व मक्के की रोटी सहित केरल का उत्तपम व कप्पा फिश फ्राई आदि व्यंजनों का स्वाद परोसा जा रहा है। इसके साथ ही सरस मेला में लगे नि:शुल्क झूले जैसे टॉय ट्रेन व मिक्की माउस भी बच्चों को खासा आकर्षित कर रहे है। पिछले दो दशकों में दिल्ली एनसीआर के रहन सहन में आए बदलावों के बावजूद गुरुग्रामवासीयों में हैंडीक्राफ्ट आइटम का क्रेज आज भी बरकरार है। बच्चे खिलौनों की स्टाल पर जाकर अपने अभिभावकों के साथ जमकर खरीदारी कर रहे हैं। कुछ ऐसा ही नजारा है मेले के स्टाल नंबर 156 पर, जहां गुरुग्राम के गांव बढ़ा से आए बाला स्वयं सहायता समूह द्वारा बाजार भाव से कम दामों पर सॉफ्ट टॉयज यानी हाथों से निर्मित सॉफ्ट खिलौनों ग्राहकों को उपलब्ध करवाए जा रहे हैं।
