फरीदाबाद- डीसीपी सेंट्रल पूजा वशिष्ठ के दिशा निर्देश के तहत कार्रवाई करते हुए साइबर थाना सेंट्रल प्रभारी इंस्पेक्टर सतीश व उनकी टीम ने मेट्रोमोनियल साइट के माध्यम से साइबर ठगी की वारदातों को अंजाम देने वाले आरोपी को गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता हासिल की है।डीसीपी सेंट्रल पूजा वशिष्ठ ने प्रेस वार्ता के दौरान जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपी का नाम जॉन पॉल है जो नाइजीरिया का रहने वाला है और फिलहाल दिल्ली के उत्तम नगर में रह रहा था। आरोपी सितंबर 2021 में बिजनेस वीजा पर हिंदुस्तान आया था और तब से ही भारत के कुछ लोगों के साथ मिलकर साइबर फ्रॉड की वारदातों को अंजाम दे रहा है। उक्त आरोपी मेट्रोमोनियल साइट पर फर्जी आईडी बनाकर अपने आपको लंदन का नागरिक बताते हैं। मेट्रोमोनियल साइट पर शादी के लिए रिश्ता ढूंढने वाली महिलाएं विदेशी नागरिकों की आईडी देखकर उनसे संपर्क करने की कोशिश करती हैं जिसके पश्चात आरोपी उसे अपने जाल में फंसा लेते हैं। पीड़िता को जब इस पर ठगी के बारे में पता चला तो 26 अप्रैल को उन्होंने इसकी शिकायत साइबर थाने में दी जिसके पश्चात आरोपियों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज करके मामले की जांच शुरू की गई। मामले में आगे कार्रवाई करते हुए साइबर टीम ने उक्त आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पुलिस पूछताछ पूरी होने के पश्चात आरोपी को अदालत में पेश करके जेल भेजा जाएगा और मामले में शामिल अन्य आरोपियों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त करके उनकी धरपकड़ की जाएगी।
