कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए हरियाणा के परिवहन मंत्री मूलचंद शर्मा ने कहा कि 80 के दशक से गुरुग्राम और फरीदाबाद अस्तित्व में आया। यह दोनों जिले जिस रफ्तार से विकास के पथ पर आगे बढ़े, इसमें ओडिशा का भी योगदान है। उन्होंने कहा कि दोनों जिलों में 25 फीसदी स्थानीय और 75 फीसदी आबादी बाहरी है। उनके विधानसभा क्षेत्र में ही जेएंडके, कर्नाटक, कटक, आंध्रा, उत्तराखंड, ओडिशा के लोग अधिक रहते हैं।
